Certimedia

Certimedia is the department of Challenge Optimum SA (Geneva, Switzerland) dedicated to media & quality management. Born in 2005 to help media companies meet the requirements of both international standards ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001, Certimedia is today the leader in auditing, consultancy and training related to quality issues within media organizations.

Thanks to its broad network of national expert partners, Certimedia is developing its skills worldwide, from America to Far East and from Northern Europe to Africa. Its staff links up the know-how of management experts and media professionals. Certimedia tailored made services take into account the media company’s proper profile and needs, as well as local culture.

Certimedia works in close cooperation with the Media and Society Foundation (Switzerland). This not-for-profit foundation is at the origin of the idea to adapt ISO 9001 standard and certification schemes to media companies. It is active worldwide in promoting media quality and best practices.

Certimedia is recognized in Switzerland by OFCOM/BAKOM (Government Communication Department).

Challenge Optimum S.A. was founded in 1994 in Geneva by three former executives of SGS Group (Société Générale de Surveillance) as a consulting company specialized in quality management. Challenge Optimum is now engaged in various activities:

	Optimum (www.optimum.ch) is the consulting branch of the company. Our consultants are specialists in quality control, statistical process control, 6 sigma, quality assurance and quality management. They have garnered extensive experience in product and management systems certifications such as:

	Optimum Institute (www.optimum-institute.ch) is the training branch of the company. Ideally located in the most international of European cities, with 42 training credits, 1 post-graduate degree, 22 trainers, 3 levels of qualification and hundreds of trainees every year, Optimum Institute is one of Europe’s best post-graduate quality management training institutes.
	Certimedia (www.certimedia.org) is the department specifically dedicated to quality management applied to media companies. Certimedia provides the media industry with expertise, consultancy and training in quality, organization and management. It prepares to international certification as per ISAS BC 9001 and P 9001 standards. Certimedia interlinks the know-how of management experts and media professionals.

Certimedia Network

Certimedia Network entails companies as well as individual partners. The most important element is the aptitude of each Network member to analyze and understand the proper management system of each media company he/ she is dealing with. High level training in ISO 9001 and ISAS BCP 9001 is another condition to enter the Network, as well as a good knowledge on media organization and production.

	The Asian-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) offers various capacity building activities, consultancy services, conferences and seminars, training manuals and publications on broadcasting challenges. Its mission is to encourage regional dialogue and cooperation in electronic media policy in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to assist its members to meet their developmental needs, above all in human resource and IT development. 	IMCA (International Media Consultant Associés) is a consulting, analyse and expertise society, dedicated to communication. Its clients are television and radio channels, producers, press enterprises, multimedia groups, private and public institutions.
