Aug 09 : BNJ first French speaking media to be certified ISAS BC 9001 |

The media group BNJ FM, based in Swiss Jura region, is the first French-speaking media organization to get the international ISAS BC 9001 certification. This is rewarding the excellence of its organization. The group encompasses 3 licensed radio stations: RFJ (Radio Fréquence Jura), RTN (Radio Neuchatel) and RJB (Radio Jura Bernois). In order to comply with the Swiss Federal Office for Telecommunication (OFCOM/ BAKOM) obligation in terms of quality management, the group decided in october 2008 to implement an ISAS BC 9001-based quality management system and to achieve the certification before the deadline of the mandatory evaluation. As a result, BNJ FM passed the certification audit in July 2009 and became the the first Swiss company to be ISAS BC 9001 compliant. Pierre Steulet, the CEO, explains that the benefit of the quality management has not only to be understood as a way to improve the performance of the company, but also as a challenge for the top management, who has to review established principles and processes. |
